A day in the life...

It was a lovely day outside as I stared out the window of the school, the warm sun passing through the windows, a cool breeze swept through the few open windows in the class, sweeping through my long brown hair. I would push the bang that lie over my eye to the side gently, with a sigh I just couldn’t stand the stupid lectures that our teacher Prof.Munroe was teaching us they were just so boring. I don’t need some half-wit teacher trying to tell me how to do things and how life is I know full well the pain and suffering that goes on in this hell hole we live in. The teacher yelled out my name as I shook my head coming back into reality. The loneliness and suffering I had felt before coming here, to this school, Xavier Institute for Gifted Children, yet I still sometimes do. Though through it all he had always been there…

“Jennifer! Pay attention!” The teacher yelled as she shot a glare at me. I rolled my eyes.

“Yea, yea. I’m paying attention.” I lied as I picked up a pencil and acted like I was jotting down something. Then as she turned back to teach, I threw it down with no hesitation.

My friend Jesse sat next to me in the double desks that we were made to share. She looked over to me with a sort of worried look,”You really should pay attention…Is there something wrong?”

I looked at her and feigned a smile, “Yea, I’m fine…” I said as I sat my elbow on my desk resting my head in my hand. A metal claw would slip from between my index and middle finger as I started to carve my name into the desk making little intricate designs around it. I would hum to the tune of “Emergency” By Paramore that emanated from my IPod headphones I had hidden by my hair and concealed by my Fall Out Boy hoodie.
